R.I.P. Michael Jackson... The King of Pop.
A lot of things have flat lined for me recently. The internet is one of them. It may be good and bad, but it seems like a lot of things around me have been changing course. R.I.P. MJ. We will all miss you. I don't think there's anyone who can say they were around for the 80's and was not influenced by this man and his music. My MJ memories consist of watching his performances on TV in awe to the kind of reaction he had from the crowd. This was generally followed by an unsuccessful attempt at the moonwalk, which leads me to believe that I bet every guy has tried it once. Unless you have no legs. No offense.
And if you didn't know, MJ has sold over 300 million records worldwide. Bad, Dangerous, and Thriller are among the best sellers with Thriller remaining as the biggest selling record of all time. And although I've learned from MJ that it doesn't matter if you're black or white, his Billie Jean video was the first video by a black artist to air on MTV.
He is not an icon, he is THE icon.
